South Salt Lake land-use agenda items

The City of South Salt Lake requests a text amendment to align sign regulations with state law and establish procedures for political signs. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to recommend the change to the City Council.

Anthony Limantzakis requests to create a one-lot subdivision from three parcels at 3205 S State Street, 132 E 3185 S, and 136 E 3185 S, totaling 0.611 acres. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing.

Development agreement for Limantzakis Commercial Subdivision, a parking lot expansion with 29 off-street parking stalls on 0.33 acres of land currently zoned CC, and 0.11 and 0.16 acres of land zoned R1, located at 3205 S State Street. The proposal includes a 6.75-foot-wide ROW dedication, removal of one curb cut, and a landscape plan.

Amend Sections 10.02.020 and 10.08.040 of the South Salt Lake Municipal Code regarding restricted travel, parking, and idling for large vehicles and auxiliary power units. The proposed amendments establish a 300-foot residential buffer restricting primary engine idling, long-term parking, and secondary power unit operation on public and commercial properties open to the public.

Hightech Signs is requesting a Conditional Use Permit to add a detached on-premises Electronic Message Center at 3880 South 700 East (Zions Bank). The Planning Commission will hold a public meeting to consider the request.

Ian Schwarting is petitioning the Planning Commission to recommend that the City Council establish regulations for body art establishments, add definitions for body art and body art establishments, and update the Land Use Matrix. The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing to consider the petition.
