Utah Land Use Radar connector for AI apps

The connector lets AI apps such as Claude and Grok search Utah Land Use Radar's public agenda data. It is read-only. Ask your AI app about rezones, subdivisions or other land-use items, and it looks them up here and links to the source agenda where one was found.

How to connect

In your AI app, add a custom connector (a remote MCP server) and paste the URL above. Choose no authentication. No sign-in is needed.

The five tools

  • search_land_use_items: find agenda items by keyword, place, type and meeting date.
  • get_land_use_item: one item with its details, source links and other agenda appearances where linked.
  • list_coverage: which places and public bodies are covered and when each was last checked.
  • get_upcoming_meetings: upcoming council and planning commission meetings with posted agendas and their land-use items.
  • what_changed_since: items that first appeared since a date in up to 10 places.

Coverage and limits

Utah only: Salt Lake County and Utah County (except Goshen), plus Layton (Davis County), Ogden (Weber County) and St. George (Washington County). Coverage is partial: 116 public bodies across 53 local governments, not every Utah city. Other Utah places are not covered yet. Coverage starts from October 1, 2026 (a few bodies start later).

Agendas are checked about once a day, not in real time. Details are extracted automatically and may be wrong or missing, and items may be missed. Annexations are often missed (12 of 27 found in our test set). Each item links to its source agenda or public notice where one was found. Check the source.

Uncovered places are reported as not covered. For a covered place with no matches, the message says the place is covered, no items, and the last-checked date (or that the date is unavailable); this does not mean nothing is planned.

  • Places that are not covered are reported as not covered, never as "no items".
  • Lindon City Council is covered but can't be read (some meetings are posted as audio only).
  • Vineyard City Council is covered but can't be read (agenda packets are posted as ZIP files).
  • Searching by street address or parcel number is not supported yet.

Example prompts

  • "What rezones are coming up in Provo?"
  • "What's on the next Draper planning commission agenda?"
  • "What's new in Lehi since last week?"
  • "Does Utah Land Use Radar cover Eagle Mountain?"
  • "What land-use items are on Alpine agendas?"

Privacy

No sign-in. The connector receives only what your AI app sends to its tools (search terms, place names, dates, item ids); we don't store those, and keep short-lived operational logs, per-request usage records for about 3 months and daily totals for up to 24 months. IP addresses are used briefly in memory for rate limiting and never stored; metrics contain no search text or other tool arguments. See the connector section of Privacy and the Terms.
